Our Children Didn't Come With A Manual... until now...
Thanks to PTA minigrants and donations from many Barnwell parents,
we are fortunate to have a substantial, comprehensive Parent Resource
Library where there is a selection of books that address a wide
spectrum of parenting and child development topics. These materials
have been written by noted authors, experts in their fields. These
are your books, and they are housed in the counseling suite.
They are available for checkout. If you are unable to get to school
and want a book sent home with your child via "Back Pack
Express," call Mrs. Sears at school and let her know!
As parents and educators, we encourage our children to read.
Reading for information and research skills are important components
of the curriculum and are life skills that we want our children
to learn and to use. What better way to demonstrate their relevance
to your children than to have them see you use these skills yourself.
What better way to show your interest and involvement in their
education and development than to use resources provided by their
school. You do not need to have a problem to use the Parent Resource
Center; all you need is a child or an interest in a child.
