River of Words National Finalist

Kasey Ann Rodgers, from Ms. Hammond's 3rd grade class, has been recognized as a National Finalist in the River of Words Environmental Poetry & Art contest.  Kasey's artwork, "Snow White Forest," was identified from the tens of thousands of entries submitted from around the world.  Kasey's work will be published in the 2008 anthology, River of Words: The Natural World as Viewed by Young People. Congratulations, Kasey!  We are proud of you!

New Superintendent Seeks Parents’ Feedback

Dr. Cindy Loe, Fulton’s new superintendent, is seeking valuable input from all stakeholders – parents, teachers, staff, administrators, and friends in the community.  An online survey is currently available on the school system’s Web site, www.fultonschools.org. Please help us shape the future of our school system by providing feedback.  The survey is available until May 15.

Sally Foster Returning in the Fall

We've almost completed the school year, it's true

Yet there's a FUNdraiser to look forward to.

Wrapping paper, chocolate, and gift items for all

Sally Foster returns to Barnwell in the fall!

So let your friends, family, and neighbors know, too

They'll want to purchase "Sally" products from you!

The new designs are beautiful, and we will have many exciting events and prizes planned for next year

PTA Entertainment Book

PTA Entertainment Book sales will be available for purchase at Barnwell’s Open House events in August! The books provide HUGE savings on food, retail, and travel.  You can save $65 at Kroger alone!  The price is $20 per book, and the Barnwell PTA gets to keep $10!  Plan to buy one for yourself, your boss, the grandparents, and any neighbor without a Barnwell student!

Calling All Third Grade Parents

The fabulous third grade parents will sponsor our final staff appreciation luncheon on Thursday, May 15th.  We are in need of pasta salads and scrumptious desserts.  We would like 3-5 volunteers from each class to make something for this luncheon.  If you can volunteer, please email Kim Rutledge at kimshellrutledge@comcast.net or call 770-609-2825.  A flyer will be coming home shortly with your third grader.  Thank you in advance.

Bruster's Night

Warm weather is here again!  Come celebrate the arrival of summer at Bruster’s at Ellard.  Join us on Monday, May 12, from 4-7 p.m. for ice cream and a good time with friends.  We hope to see you there!
